Celebrate MWD Reno (B268), PK9H Member #163, with his very own shirt!
This exclusive T-shirt design honors MWD Reno’s service as a dual-purpose patrol and explosive detection dog in the U.S. Military. At just four years old, Reno was forced into early medical retirement due to a severe skin condition, and was facing euthanasia, until Project K-9 Hero stepped in.
With his handler unable to keep him due to military housing restrictions, Reno’s future was uncertain. “He will be put down if I can’t find somewhere that will take him in,” she pleaded. Project K-9 Hero worked quickly to bring Reno safely to their Rehabilitation and Rehoming Facility in Tennessee, where Reno received the care and second chance he deserved.
Not only was Reno's life spared, PK9H was able to coordinate a successful adoption from their Rehabilitation and Rehoming Facility in Tennessee. MWD Reno is now with his loving, fur-ever home, in Utah with his new family!
