Celebrate K-9 Tambo, PK9H Member #203, with his very own shirt!
Tambo served as an Explosive Detection Federal Police K-9 within the Department of Defense Intelligence Community and is now retired due to a severe medical condition.
K-9 Tambo faithfully served the Department of Defense mission since 2014. For seven years, he provided critical explosive detection expertise in support of national security. Tambo searched over 10,000 vehicles and responded to more than 500 calls for service.
He also provided support during the 2017 Presidential Inauguration and assisted state and local police departments throughout the greater Washington, D.C. area. K-9 Tambo played a vital role in securing the public at various sporting events, including those held at Camden Yards, M&T Bank Stadium, and the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium.
Due to his ongoing medical needs, K-9 Tambo was accepted into the Project K-9 Hero program, which, with support from people like you, will cover all future vet visits, medications, and surgeries at 100% for the rest of his life. PK9H is dedicated to protecting K-9 Heroes like Tambo after all they’ve done to protect the national and international intelligence community—and our country.
